When she loses him
(for however short a time)
she loses more than he
knows.
The clouds cover the sun
the air becomes cold
and thick
she cannot breathe
without him.
How can he think
that anyone else
(whom she may or may not adore)
could mean more
to her
than he?
She (again)
hands to him
her heart.
He doesn't have to love it;
just don't lose it.
keep it close
it will, in time,
beat as one
with his
for after
ever.
